MYCASAFORYOU is a new online rental platform, initiated as a non-profit initiative and completely developed and managed by homeowners. The initiative is a response to the almost monopolistic position and conditions of the major online platforms, which charge enormous commission rates that are no longer proportional to the value they deliver. we basically, cut out the middleman.

For more than 20 years we own and rent our holiday property to holiday makers and tourist. After using and testing various platform we concluded that the best quality-price offer for all parties, are the platforms with the annual subscription fee business model. After working for 10-15 years with subscription platforms most of these platforms were sold and/or changed into commission platforms. They forced homeowners to accept this new commission model and therefore increasing our rental costs with a factor 15. The commission platforms increased their earning immensely, but the tourists had to pay more, and the homeowner receives less.

Many homeowners considered to stop renting their property if no reasonable alternative was available. We couldn´t find any alternative platform with a reasonable subscription or commission model. So, at the end of 2023 we decided to create our own new platform. Made by, designed by and controlled by homeowners and based on an annual subscription fee system! No commissions are charged to the homeowner and or the guests, which results in 20% lower rental prices more transparency and direct contact. The homeowner has direct contact with the potential guests, determines its own bookings, controls his calendar, payments, and other rental conditions. More transparency for the homeowner and the guests.
